Junction 2: The Launch - Adam Beyer / Nina Kraviz / Apollonia

Junction 2: The Launch at Tobacco Dock Saturday 10th February 2018 12:00pm - 10:30pm (last entry 6:00pm) Tobacco Dock, London 50 Porters Walk, E1W 2SF

Formerly the Little Gallery, The Gallery at Tobacco Dock is now much longer, while still keeping an intimate feel due to the low ceilings, and narrow corridor like layout. Since the changes the room suits a more laidback, minimal feel suiting housier and more stripped back sounds. Providing a different atmosphere to the other two rooms, the soundtrack on February 10th will also offer something a little different. Adam Beyer and Ida Engberg will play there last London show before the festival under the probing lasers of The Great Gallery. The connection between them both is something quite special when they’re on the decks, and you’ll be able to watch each twist on the mixer with the new stage layout. They'll be joined by the ever-rising Mind Against who have continued to blossom into the darker realms of techno. And of course our residents Dense & Pika will kick things off in precisely the right way. They know just how to work the crowd, and will set the tone for the debauchery perfectly.

The Great Gallery is the venue's flagship room, with a criss-cross of lasers creating a vortex of colour and pulsating lights in the distance. The new stage layout helps to create a more intimate and inclusive feel, bringing the DJ and crowd closer than ever before. Once you’re in The Great Gallery, you’ll find it hard to leave the dancefloor and can easily be a "rabbit in the headlights" moment for hours! Nina Kraviz’s acidic slant on techno is ideally suited to the hedonistic vibe of the car park. It’s her first performance at Tobacco Dock for almost three years, and Nina’s trajectory has gone to the outer stratosphere since then.

LSD sees some of techno’s truly original artists, merge into one kaleidoscopic synapse stimulation journey. Steve Bicknell, Function and Luke Slater have all been hugely influential over many years, and this will be the first chance to see their live performance together. No stranger to the car park, Scuba is one of the artists that fits its subterranean walls perfectly. Bringing the rough and the smooth together in perfect unison, it’s an educated balance of dark and groovy and makes the dancefloor lose all its inhibitions. Modeselektor are our special guests at the show and will suit the room's raw and industrial feel perfectly. The pioneers behind Moderat and the legendary imprint Monkeytown will bring with them an encyclopedic crate of otherworldly records.
